Flashcards

This page presents flashcards that I created during medical school for use with Palm SuperMemo. It also provides access to the flashcards through an online quiz tool for people who don’t use Palm SuperMemo.

Palm SuperMemo Databases for Medical School

During medical school I tried to put nearly every fact I needed to learn into flashcard format for use with Palm SuperMemo. The facts were taken from my class notes and from board review books. The Palm database files were lost in a harddrive crash but were later reconstituted from my web database (see below) by Doug Buxton, a medical student at the University of Washington. Thanks, Doug, for making these files available to other students.

Online Quiz

To select questions for a quiz, choose a drill-down search, a random search, or a full-text search.

  • Drilldown search: You progressively refine your search by specifying the subject, collection, and category. Use this search method to find all of the material for a particular course exam.
  • Random (pot luck) search: A specified number of questions is selected from the database at random.
  • Full-text search: Enter a word or phrase to search for. All questions matching any of your search terms will be added to the quiz. (You can choose to limit the number of questions returned.)
